https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780873 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780873#c0 Summary: openSUSE:12.2/openssl: Bug Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: gjhe@suse.com ReportedBy: vmiklos@suse.com QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hi, Yesterday I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2, and now 'osc co' seems to be extremely unstable here. Typical output: ---- $ osc co openssl A openssl A openssl/README.SuSE A openssl/baselibs.conf A openssl/bug610223.patch A openssl/merge_from_0.9.8k.patch A openssl/openssl-1.0.0-c_rehash-compat.diff Illegal instruction ---- After installing libopenssl1_0_0-debuginfo, I got the attached log in gdb. This is with a "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz" CPU in a Thinkpad T520. Package versions: $ rpm -qa libopenssl-devel libopenssl1_0_0-debuginfo libopenssl1_0_0 libopenssl-devel-1.0.1c-2.1.3.x86_64 libopenssl1_0_0-debuginfo-1.0.1c-2.1.3.x86_64 libopenssl1_0_0-1.0.1c-2.1.3.x86_64 I didn't have any such instability with openSUSE 12.1. The same "illegal instruction" problem appears with some Python script of mine, using the Python ssl module, also with the mutt package using imaps://, that's why I think this will be an openssl bug. If you need more info, please let me know.
