The test consists of opening several partitions on an external hard disk, on USB, hibernating, and then thawing the machine (look up the complete description in Bug 439663, I was doing the same test). As the machine crashes before thawing, it is impossible to even have a look at the logs or issue any command at all. Perhaps by looking inside the swap image, but I had no way to look and find anything in there, as the same swap is used for booting all my linux images. The only thing I have are the kernel oops photos with my cellular phone camera.
