http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=511128 Summary: PowerDevil doesn't recognize connecting / disconnecting Panasonic Let's Note laptop to AC Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: homoludens1000@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042700 SUSE/3.0.10-1.1.1 Firefox/3.0.10 This seems to be a general problem with the Let's Note (in Japan; abroad, I think, called Toughbooks) line of Panasonic laptops. When connecting / disconnecting the laptop of an AC outlet, the operating system (and/or the power management application) doesn't recognize the change and doesn't adjust power profiles accordingly. On my installation (openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.2), the power management application in question is PowerDevil (kde4 workspace). However, I have observed the same problem on openSUSE 11.0 with KDE 4.1 and with KDE 3.5 installed. However, this problem did not exit under openSUSE 10.3 (with KDE 3.5).
