http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1199125 Bug ID: 1199125 Summary: Libredirect stops redirecting YouTube videos to Freetube in Tumbleweed KDE Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: heffewoozle@posteo.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- [Libredirect](https://github.com/libredirect/libredirect) is a privacy extension that can redirect YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and many more requests to alternative privacy friendly frontends and backends. It has a option to redirect YouTube video to [Freetube](https://github.com/FreeTubeApp/FreeTube), a desktop YouTube video player. I'm on the Tumbleweed KDE. Everything seemed to work fine when I was using Tumbleweed Gnome. However, after switching to KDE, the Libredirect extension could open the Freetube app, but coundn't go to the specific YouTube link that it's trying to direct to. I've tried it in both Chromium and Firefox. I've also tried it with FreeTube Appimage, rpm, and Flatpak formats. The results were all the same. The Libredirect extension developer said they had no such problem on Kubuntu LTS. Therefore, I think it might be an OpenSUSE regression that caused this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
