http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=569973 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=569973#c8 --- Comment #8 from Dave Plater <davejplater@gmail.com> 2010-01-15 14:01:55 UTC --- The version number is the first series of numbers 3.0.3 the second set are the revision numbers set by the build service, I usually set it to 0 in the spec file. The first revision number indicates how many times the package has been revised and built successfully and the last one is how many times the revision has been rebuilt. For example bacula-3.0.3-17.1 has rebuilt after a change has been made 17 times and hasn't had a rebuild due to a package it depends on has been revised due to the .1, if I triggered a rebuild then the .1 would become 2 after it rebuilt successfuly. Contrib has bacula-3.0.3-7.2 which incremented to -7.1 when I added the link. I have a package which I regularly update from svn in my home project which has a revision number 164.1 ATM but when I check it into the devel project from time to time the devel version will have a much lower revision number but still be the same package. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
