I'm running the official pae kernel of the official distri kernel: # uname -a Linux sparrow 2.6.25.20-0.1-pae #1 SMP 2008-12-12 20:30:38 +0100 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux # ls /lib/modules/2.6.25.20-0.1-pae/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq acpi-cpufreq.ko longhaul.ko powernow-k7.ko speedstep-lib.ko cpufreq-nforce2.ko longrun.ko powernow-k8.ko speedstep-smi.ko e_powersaver.ko p4-clockmod.ko speedstep-centrino.ko gx-suspmod.ko powernow-k6.ko speedstep-ich.ko ..but there is none of the above modules loaded in my system. The machine is getting very hot at the moment. And I know, that I could reduce this by enabling powersave cpufreq in the past. But this doesn't work any more after applying security updates. I won't say it's an kernel related issue, but the issue occured after the security update in the last 2 months (or so). I loaded the p4-clockmod module into my system, but still can't change the cpufreq to dynamic nor powersave anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
