vga=ask shows : 34b 1920x1080x8 34c 1920x1080x16 34d 1920x1080x32 (on my NVidia card, of course) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: ful screen display (even non HD) I was said on the factory list "Since we use framebuffer during installation, i.e. fbdev X driver, it depends on your Video card's BIOS which resolutions are supported. Apparently your video card's BIOS does not support 1920x1080. Switching to native driver already during installation would make already the installation on a bunch of machines *impossible*. Temporarily using installations with broken native drivers via failsafe boot option (switching to vesa/fbdev driver) wouldn't work either. Investigating and fixing bugs in native drivers also couldn't be done. I know other distributors use the native driver already during installation. I don't know how they adress issues in native drivers ..." so I open this as place holder to inform the users, but close it as wont fix. reopen it if you have any solution :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
