https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=204752 Summary: provide non-oss repository for factory Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Alpha 4 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: aj@novell.com ReportedBy: molkentin@kde.org QAContact: qa@suse.de I am currently trying to give 10.2 a bit more of of a daily-work-test on the desktop to identify problems early. The problem is that there are some applications in non-oss that are needed in daily desktop usage, such as realplayer. I probably could use those from 10.1, at least for those packages that are statically linked. Still this approach has a couple of disadvantages, most importantly the fact that Packages can break at any time, cannot be adjusted to factories needs and can cause dependency problems of all kinds. While testing Kubuntu I found it very helpful to have non-oss components available during testing. I'd therefore ask to provide a factory-non-oss repo. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
