Well, I expected Yast/you popping the usual message. I was on another workspace, and when I went back to the one holding Yast, the YOU window had already finished and closed itself. I had to start it again to see that no update was pending, and to compare kernel versions manually to verify that it had installed a kernel, and reboot accordingly. It is possible that the pop-up went "under" some thing else, so that I didn't see it, but when this happens the yast window that pops it is not selectable till the pop is closed. I was running "yast -qt" under gnome. I can not prove this, and obviously I can't try again the update to reproduce; as you say that the update has the flag and nobody has mentioned this, unless you have some other method to verify maybe you should close as worksforme.
