http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586802 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586802#c0 Summary: windows inappropriately snapback when moved in a vnc connection Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 3 Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: lee_matheson@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.8 Firefox/3.6 Problem observed ONLY in an X11 vnc session. Windows will inappropriately snap back to their original location when moved during a vnc session connection. This is when the windows are moved by right clicking on the window top title bar and selecting move. One then moves the window but as soon as the mouse button is released, the windows snaps back. When the window is moved by left clicking on the title bar and dragging the window, and then letting go of the mouse button, the window will stay put. So this appears only when using the "move" selection in the drop down menu. The PC where the user was located was a 64-bit openSUSE-11.2 KDE-4.3.5 PC, and the PC with x11vnc running was a 32-bit openSUSE-11.3 milestone3 LXDE PC. Note when the windows are moved directly in front of the 32-bit openSUSE-11.3 milestone3 LXDE PC they behave properly. I do not have another KDE nor Gnome install, so I can not confirm whether this is an LXDE or an x11vnc problem. rpms on the openSUSE-11.3 milestone3 PC: lee@stonehenge01:~> rpm -qa '*vnc*' tightvnc-1.3.9-108.6.i586 xorg-x11-Xvnc-7.4-69.2.i586 x11vnc-0.9.8-3.6.i586 I do note the 64-bit openSUSE-11.2 KDE-4.3.5 PC can move windows on openSUSE-11.1 and 11.2 remote PCs this way with no problem, making me believe the problem lies in the openSUSE-11.3 milestone3 release. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. see above. Easy to reproduce 2. 3. Actual Results: window snaps back when mouse released. Expected Results: window should stay in place when mouse released. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
