Two things: I cannot say whether the enable did the trick or shifting the actual mounting to on-demand, which first happens when the desktop comes on as the nfs mount is not required for boot, second I cannot tell if this actually fixes the issue in means of "creating the necessary prerequisite" or if it is merely a workaround like "this triggered something else and that avoids the issue".
