http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=584493 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=584493#c0 Summary: setterm -background blue -foreground white -bold -blank 20 -store malfunctions in 2.6.33 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Factory Platform: PC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mrmazda@earthlink.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- For years in .bashrc I have had: setterm -background blue -foreground white -bold -blank 20 -store Since doing recent Factory updates and M2 installs this no longer produces desired results that stick. Initially colors are fine, but after a short time running various cmdline apps and/or commands the desired colors start getting replaced by a mixture of odd colors, and white text on black background. Once this starts happening, the clear command instead of white on blue gives gray on black. I typically have a mc session on tty2 and a plain command prompt on tty3. Switching between tty2 & tty3 seems to possibly bring on the corruption sooner, and leaves portions of the mc menubars green where they should be cyan, with light gray text where text should be black. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
