History: On SLED10 / SLED10 SP1 and SLED10 SP2 this has always worked perfect Starting wit openSUSE 11 the machine hangs when rebooting. Hardware: Dell Optiplex 745 Bios revision 2.6.1 (latest as of today) Software openSUSE 11.0 Linux hans 2.6.25.9-0.2-pae #1 SMP 2008-06-28 00:00:07 +0200 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Problem: When selecting a sutdown with reboot, the machine hangs. We see the following on the screen: =========================== .. Shutting down resource manager Running /etc/init.d/halt.local Sending all processes teh TERM signal... Unmounting fuse control filesystem Set Hardware Clock to the current System Time Turnign off swap files Unmounting file systems /dev/sr0 umounted /dev/sdb1 unounted non umounted rpc_pipefs umounted /dev/sda3 unounted /dev/sda2 unounted Stopping udedv: Please stand by while rebooting the system... =========================== At this point we need to powercycle the system as it does not boot further, nor recover from this state. It needs to be said that a 'halt' works perfect, just the reboot is a problem This is new behavior starting openSUSE 11.0 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
