https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=770350 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=770350#c0 Summary: mkinitrd: run_all.sh tries to mount HDD twice and fails Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mail@frank-ansari.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/536.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/20.0.1132.47 Safari/536.11 After my last update I noticed that booting stopped with an error message from fsck that my HDD is already mounted and whether I really want to continue and if yes I surely damage my HDD. I was quite puzzled by this. I tried to debug by unpacking my initrd and found that the run_all.sh script tries to mount the HDD twice. Once there is a script 81-mount.sh and another 83-mount.sh. I have no idea why this is the case. So I simply disabled the 83-mount.sh call in run_all.sh then rebuilt my initrd and the booting worked without problems. Why do I have two scripts trying to mount my HDD?
