I closed my work on 11.0, rebooted to factory, prepared the test, hibernated (my machine hybernates instead of suspending when gnome triggers it), powered on again... and the kernel hung. I took some photos. I rebooted, and at 50% of loading the image on swap, it hung again. I took some more photos. I copied to paper: Loading data pages 50% Kernel Bug at kernel/power/snapshot.c:518! invalid opcode: 0000 [#] SMP last sys file /sys/kernel/uevent_seqnum. ..and more I didn't copy. If you want the photos (bad quality, I'm afraid), ask tomorrow. I rebooted two more times and factory hung at the same place. I rebooted to 11.0, and it started to load the swap image as hibernation image, so I forced a reboot again, this time to 11.0 failsafe, allowed it to reconstruct damaged filesystems, and halted it in order to reboot normally - halt crashed also at the end. I'm finally on 11.0 without acomplishing anything, and I have wasted about two hours. (there is nothing on syslog, so don't ask for it) And this bug of kernel 2.6.27.4-2.1 at hibernation was already reported (Bug 440891). :-/ When you solve the hibernation bug, ask again and I'll try to get you the information you wanted. But make sure hibernation works, please. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
