https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=338068#c11 --- Comment #11 from Mike Fabian <mfabian@novell.com> 2007-11-06 09:19:55 MST --- Now I have switched to using an XEmacs with Xft/fontconfig support to get nice anti-aliased fonts and better support for Unicode. A lot more Unicode characters can be displayed when an XEmacs compiled with Xft/fontconfig support is used. And, as truetype fonts are used instead of bitmap fonts, bold and italic is no problem anymore. Even if a matching bold or italic font does not exist, Xft/freetype can fake a bold font by overstriking and a italic font by slanting the font. If you want to tryout an XEmacs build with Xft, you can try the xemacs packages available at: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/M17N/openSUSE_10.3/ These have Xft support built in. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
