Root device: /dev/AtmosVG/LVRoot (mounted on / as ext3) Dump device: /dev/AtmosVG/LVvar Fatal storage error. Device /lvmboot/boot does not have a driver. Script /lib/mkinitrd/setup/94-mkdumprd.sh failed! + Echo 'Can'\''t create initrd' It looks like updates from SuSE to SLES11SP1 are causing this, perhaps one of: mkinitrd-2.4.1-0.16.16.1 kdump-0.7.8-1.33.32.1 - while kiwi is deploying the image it uses a bind mount for the boot partition. - as a last step mkinitrd runs a script 94-mkdumprd.sh that does not know how to work with this bind mount, so thus mkinitrd reports a failure, but by that time the system's initrd has been successfully generated and only the kdump initrd generation failed - as a result of the failure, the kiwi linuxrc does not run the "resetBootBind" function which does exactly this - remove the /lvmboot stuff from the installed system's fstab -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
