So this clearly looks like xorg bug instead of kernel bug, right? Mathias, would you accept the bug being reassigned back to you?
I'm not sure, but as long as we haven't figured that out, that's ok with me. Assigning back to me, CC'ing you. (In reply to comment #36)
Sorry for delay I've been busy.
No probs.
Downgraded all xorg-x11* packages OK and yes it fixed the problem. BUT PLEASE NOTE THIS:- 1. Standard runlevel 3 test - no instability found. 2. Reboot and repeat 1 above - instability returned.
With "repeat 1 above" you mean the sax2 Test? Then the issue is still there, and the Xorg packages were not the reason. But why do you state this fixed the problem, when the only case where this problem popped up is still showing the issue?
I will be away for a month from next week, I will be reachable by email but may not be able to do any testing until I return home.
Sure. We'll delay further tests then. The next test would be to replace the kernel package and see whether the issue still pops up. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
