https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=740113 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=740113#c0 Summary: Can't set 1920x1080 resolution on Benq BL2400 after Kernel update to 3.2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: aectann@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/17.0.963.26 Safari/535.11 After updating kernel to 3.2 version I can't setup my secondary monitor (Benq BL2400) to use optimal resolution (1920x1080). It only allows 1024x768. Though my laptop screen setups flawlessly to its optimal (1366x768). If I revert kernel back to 3.1.x everything works flawlessly. I'm using KDE 4.7.4 configure display wizard. Tried Gnome's 3.2 settings screen as well, with same results. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Switch to 3.2 kernel 2. Try to configure the display to use 1920x1080 resolution Actual Results: Being setup for the target resolution monitor shows 'no signal' message. On 1024x768 everything works o.k. Expected Results: The display should work on 1920x1080 properly. System: openSUSE 12.1 (x86_64) KDE: 4.7.4 (4.7.4) "release 11" I'm on Thinkpad x220 laptop with core i7 CPU. The video card is Intel GMA HD 3000 Graphics Card. I'm using 3.2 kernel from stable branch as from here http://kernel.opensuse.org/packages/stable and Tumbleweed repos as from here http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Change_from_12.1_to_Tumbleweed -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
