https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=465006 Summary: software managed: limited design of repo priority Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- software managed: limited design of repo priority I believe the introduced priority feature went to far. Previously (opensuse 10.3) I could manually select repo to use at the SM level. Per _each_ package. Now it is globally decided, and despite (a bug) radio buttons which still exist in "versions" tab, my choice is ignored. IMHO all can be nicely done if priority it not used for getting packages but used as presets for repos. NOW: repo A (0), repo B (100) A is chosen by default. I select to install package X from B. This is ignored, and A is used. WISHED: repo A (0), repo B (100) A is chosen by default. I select to install package X from B. Since I override manully the default priority (just for that install of course) B is used. Everybody is happy, all features are used. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
