https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=472686 Summary: Suspend-to-Disk crashes/hangs system Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: andrew@joako.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-1.1 Firefox/3.0.5 When attempting to suspend-to-disk the system it only crashes on a blank (black) screen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click K-Menu. 2. Click Log Out... 3. Click suspend. Note: the End session for "user" dialog box ONLY displays the option "Suspend" there is no drop down menu (as there was in openSUSE 11.0) to pick suspend to disk or suspend to RAM. When the button is clicked, a suspend-to-disk is what is attempted Actual Results: The system stays on and hangs at a black screen. If one holds the power button and turns the system off forcefully, when booting again it is a clean boot, the system is not resumed-from-disk. Expected Results: The system should suspend to disk and then shut off. Upon turning the system back on, it should resume-from-disk. Will suspend in openSUSE ever work right? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
