Open Kcontrol>Sound and Multimedia>System notifications>Apply tick box to include ALL applications> Turn on Message Windows AND Passive Windows and Apply. 2. Next step is to force a system error message, like trying to download pop3 email and before its finished hit receive email again to elicit an error response or 'Message Window' If you do not correct an error window message, the 'Passive Window Message will continue to be generated until the system has no RAM resources left. Its the continual generation of the 'Passive Messages' that are constantly issued with the title "Condition xxxxx Demand your Attention" This bug is really a KDE Kcontrol issue and may need re-classification. You dont have to use the above POP3 process to illicit an error, and application that issues a warning message which is NOT attended to will invoke Passive Messages ever nnn seconds. The other issue is that Passive Window Messages are sent to the back of the current application screen, and never bought to focus - This is how the use can get caught in not seeing was is going on by mass 'Passive Window' production. Because we selected"All Applications" in the system notify kcontrol panel you get just that - Warning messages followed by passive window demand you attend to message window first. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
