OK, sorry for the delayed answers, but I had to deal with some important
personal issues. Anyway, believe me that I try to find the bug, not to fix a
broken(?) configuration. I do that with good will too! :)
2 Notes:
a. Configuration changed after your Comment #13 (use hpijs instead of pcl3). I
take responsibility for not posting the new conf.
b. I will attach current configuration file AND the md5 of cups, printers (and
any other file you may wish) in order to assure you that I am not messing
around with cups. I do know that this is a bug of something (yast, printing, or
drivers or who knows, but definitely a bug - I copied entire /etc/cups folder
from the 64bit to 32bit and everything is good).
Now, regarding the "cupsdAuthorize: No authentication data provided.", I see
this message to all log files I have (Suse 10.0, opensuse 10.1, opensuse 10.3
32bit and the 64bit in question). But except of the 64bit version, I can print
to various printers from the other PCs.
I will post the foomatic related info as soon as I am home. However, I can tell
you that foomatic is installed.
