It also fixes the handling of OpenType/CFF fonts with embedded bitmaps, which will no longer be mistaken for bitmap fonts. - fonttosfnt 1.0.4 * This version fixes a crash on architectures that have an 'interesting' implementation of va_list, such as AMD64. It also <end quote> The other problem (that DRM does not come up the first time X starts) is not important to me, so feel free to close this bug. However, if you do want to fix _that_, I will be very happy to do whatever I can to help. The situation with this laptop is slightly odd in that the internal monitor is 1440x1050@60Hz, but the 19" external monitor DDC says that _its_ best resolution is 1280x1024@85Hz (although it is capable of doing 1600x1400@60Hz). With 10.2 I hand modified the xorg.conf to do 1440x1050@60Hz (because Sax won't allow me to select it), but for 11.0 I have decided to go with the 1280x1024@85Hz since it looks so much sharper.
