https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=349260 Summary: YAST not populating RPM identification fields properly for uninstalled packages located in hardrive repository Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dpkiel@hotmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer A repository is added via the YAST Control Center - Software Repositories program. If the uninstalled rpm source is a CD, then YAST populates all the identification fields successfully, and displays them in the YAST installation program on the technical data tab. If the uninstalled rpm source is a local hard drive directory, then YAST only partially populates the identification fields. This can be seen on the technical data tab of the YAST installation program. One of the critical identification fields not obtained is the package group. Without this, the filter "package groups" within the YAST installation program is ineffectual. This bug is independent of whether the automatically refresh option is chosen in the YAST Software Repositories program. YAST was installed via the KDE single cd installation procedure. Note: do not believe this bug was found in openSUSE 10.2 version. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
