https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240559 Summary: Intentional downgrade to an older SW-version is not recognized by actualizing program Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Maintenance AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de I recently downgraded guile because of an incompatibility of guile and TeXmacs. Now the on-desktop actualizing program keeps telling me I should upgrade guile because the version I installed is 1.6.X whereas the initial openSuSE 10.2 version is 1.8.x. Because the build date of my version is significantly more recent than the build date of the SuSE package this should not happen IMHO. In YaST the package is marked with a lock, the same should happen in the desktop upgrader software. Just my 2 cents here ... Imagine SuSE would downgrade a package version for some good reason and all customers out there would revert the change due to such a behaviour of the installer.
