https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=229322 Summary: ATI Graphics card recognised as vesa framebuffer Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: rob.kruit@newdata.stx.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de When I install Suse 10.2 final on my notebook (HP NC6400) the internal ATI Radeon X1300 152MB Hypermemory is recognized as a framebuffer card. I downloaded and installed the latest ATI drivers as generated RPM packet and the graphics card is still not recognized. When I move to runlevel 3 and type sax2 -m 0=fglrx the ATI driver is loaded and offers a correct display resolution resolution. However sax2 still tells me that it's a framebuffer card and I'm unable tu turn on the accelerated desktop features because the card is not recognized as an accelerated card. Any 3d games and opengl tests run perfectly and the ATI openGL systeem is correctly installed. I think that the grapics card is not in the database of sax2 and therefore is not recognized. If you tell me how I can gather the required information about this card and submit it to you so you can add it to the sax2 graphics card database. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
