Now yesterday there was this update with 900+ packages and among those a newer kernel 3.4.4-1. Now the system is back at the temp values of 12.1. Where does this regression come from, the kernel or KDE? Now my system runs at high 50 (57-60) when only firefox open, the previous version at low 50 (50-55). Windows runs at around 50 with the same kind of "almost idle" load which is still hot compared to my old duo2core but seems to be normal for the i5 processor, but it would be nice to keep the temperatures low because it gets pretty uncomfortable on a lap.
