To make it clear you want to have option to make partition active and install partition only to /boot sector?
No. I want the option to install only to "/boot" and to not touch the active flag, leaving the active flag where it was (on Windows). That option is there, and has worked in the past. But it was ignored for this install. I have been doing it this way since opensuse 11.4 (on the same computer). As for whether it works -- well it works for me, because I know what I am doing. In particular, I know that I then need to copy the boot sector to the file that Windows uses in its boot manager settings (essentially a chain-load). I could understand the installer warning me that the system might not be bootable (I have wondered why there isn't such a warning). But it still should follow what I configure for booting, and not change it to something different. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
