https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=855616 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=855616#c0 Summary: VNC cursor offset during installation (kvm guest) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: yast2-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: abergmann@suse.com QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- openSUSE 13.1 installation reacts differently to openSUSE 12.3 when accessed over KVM VNC. The cursor inside the VNC window in 13.1 is moving faster then the mouse cursor of the VNC client system. This makes it hard to click the right buttons during installation. This behavior was different in 12.3. I stumbled over this during installation of 2 KVM clients. How to reproduce: 1. Start KVM client with openSUS-12.3 DVD as boot medium. 2. Connect to that guest system via VNC and wait for the GUI to start. i.e. Check VNC port: #> virsh dumpxml <guest id> | grep vnc <graphics type='vnc' port='5901' autoport='yes' listen='0.0.0.0'> #> vncviewer 0:5901 3. Start KVM client with openSUSE-13.1 DVD as boot medium. 4. Connect to that guest system via VNC and wait for the GUI to start. Same procedure as step 2. Just move the cursor inside the VNC client window around and you should see the differences. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
