http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=589226 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=589226#c0 Summary: Network Manager in GNOME perpetually crashes Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bwalter@directoryconcepts.co.nz QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.2 Firefox/3.6 Every time a WiFi or VPN connection is modified through Network Manager under GNOME, Bug Buddy pops up on Save. Sometimes it saves the changes, sometimes it wipes settings. Bug Buddy never successfully submits bug. Was 11.1 install that was 'zypper dup' to 11.2 Network Manager crashes and Bug Buddy always wants to log new bug constantly if there is no physical eth0 or WiFi connection and a network app, such as apache2, is running. Doesn't seem to realise that loopback is available to bind to and not complain. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log in as standard user 2. Edit Connections... from Network Manager 3. Make a change and try to save Actual Results: Bug Buddy prompts to submit (and fails to submit - different bug) Expected Results: Saves config and all is well w700:~ # rpm -qa | grep -i network NetworkManager-vpnc-gnome-0.7.1-2.3.i586 yast2-network-2.18.53-1.1.1.i586 NetworkManager-openvpn-gnome-0.7.1-2.4.1.i586 NetworkManager-pptp-gnome-0.7.1-2.3.i586 NetworkManager-vpnc-0.7.1-2.3.i586 NetworkManager-novellvpn-0.7.2.r1138-2.3.i586 NetworkManager-openvpn-0.7.1-2.4.1.i586 NetworkManager-devel-0.7.1_git20090811-4.2.i586 NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.1-5.4.1.i586 NetworkManager-novellvpn-gnome-0.7.2.r1138-2.3.i586 NetworkManager-glib-0.7.1_git20090811-4.2.i586 NetworkManager-doc-0.7.1_git20090811-4.2.i586 libproxy0-networkmanager-0.3.1-2.2.i586 NetworkManager-pptp-0.7.1-2.3.i586 NetworkManager-0.7.1_git20090811-4.2.i586 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
