Here is what I did: - choose "Installation" from the boot menu of the OpenSuse 12.2 final DVD. - enter the kernel option from above into the corresponding field of the boot menu. - press enter. According to the output sent to the screen, everything seems to be normal including the loading of the basic drivers. Then, however, a blue screen with a dialog box appears: Make sure that CD number 1 is in your drive
From there, I did not manage to continue or re-init the boot process. I never arrive at the stage where parts 1/6 ... 6/6 are loaded.
Booting without any option works: I am able to switch to a console using ctr-alt-f2. However, as expected, i/o performance is still very low for both discs (5 mb/s). I'm attaching boot.msg and the output of 'lspci -xxxnnvv' and of lsmod from this instance. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
