I used the desktop's user interface, no help. Used xset, no help. It always works for some time, but one cannot predict how long the settings will last. It can be hours, half a day, or a few minutes. Does anyone know what keeps resetting this? I could write a daemon which checks every few seconds the current settings and immediately change to my desired configuration, but that's not very nice.
