https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222567 Summary: Time Zone change results in failed installation Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dbeck@wavecable.com QAContact: qa@suse.de During install, changing the time zone results in a blank screen. I've waited up to 45 minutes before doing a hard reboot which results in a fresh install procedure. If using the default time zone setting during install, then changing the zone using YaST the same blank (black) screen results. After a hard reboot, the OS reports a failed installation restarting the install midstream. However, when complete, the time zone is correct. This has occurred in two hardware configurations. ps: I didn't see a convenient way to attach the syslog. Nothing is obvious in it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
