https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=405025 Summary: firefox 32bit on x86_64 won't start after update to version 3.0 Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: thomas.saupe@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Services Priority: 100 I've installed firefox 32 bit because I need to use SUN java. The packages are: ~>rpm -qa | grep -i mozilla mozilla-nspr-4.7.1-18.2 mozilla-xulrunner190-translations-1.9.0-0.1 mozilla-nss-3.12.0-23.2 mozilla-xulrunner190-1.9.0-0.1 mozilla-nss-32bit-3.12.0-23.2 mozilla-xulrunner190-32bit-1.8.99.5-28.1 mozilla-xulrunner190-gnomevfs-1.9.0-0.1 MozillaFirefox-2.9.95-25.1 mozilla-nspr-32bit-4.7.1-18.2 mozilla-xulrunner181-32bit-1.8.1.13-22.1 Mozilla works fine and also the jvm browser plugin. After updating to the current maintenance version of firefox: ~>rpm -qa | grep Mozilla MozillaFirefox-3.0-0.1 it wont start anymore. Executing firefox on the console I see the following message: ~> firefox Could not find compatible GRE between version 1.9.0 and 1.9.0. Downgrading firefox to version 2.9.95-25.1 lets firefox start again. Setting high priority because 32bit firefox is required when unsing SUN java plugin which is in turn required to access certain ilo consoles. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
