I think we made a big progress. I am currently running the latest Mesa, libdrm and xorg-x11-driver-video packages from the indicated repo and I am running the 2.6.35-rc3 kernel from obs://Kernel:HEAD. I have disabled the intellegacy driver and to my surprise the systems was/is quite stable. The only KDE desktop effect that I had to switch off was "Wobbly Windows". This plugin is still capable of generating the effect of a hanging Xserver, but without this plugin the desktop is rock-solid. I have tried it now for a couple of days and so far no crash. Good job! I hope that the next releases would also fix the issue with the Wobbly windows effect. My system is a Lenovo T61 with 965GM Intel chip.
