http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1106673 Bug ID: 1106673 Summary: LUKS keyboard layout falls back to US instead of DE since last dracut update Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader Assignee: jsrain@suse.com Reporter: tbro@suse.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hi, since the update I did today on my Leap 15 machine, my keyboard layout on my Lenovo ThinkPad T450 falls back in the LUKS decryption of the disk to US keyboard layout. My disk layout looks like this: - 8GB boot parition - ext4 - rest of the disk is an encrypted LVM volume - inside of the LVM -> root, home, etc. with the update of dracut / dracut-tools to versions 13.6 on 2018-05-17 - everything was still fine. Now (today) with the major upgrade of dracut / dracut-tools to 14.3.1 - keyboard layout falls back to US while asking for the LUKS password of the LVM encrypted 2nd partition. My heartbeat almost skipped, when I thought that I forgot my password, but in the end, only the keyboard layout changed. Thanks for fixing this in advance.
