http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567902 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567902#c0 Summary: Bash completion (with tab key) not working in any of the terminals (Konsole, xterm, etc.) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: lb339@cam.ac.uk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 SUSE/3.5.6-1.1.1 Firefox/3.5.6 Trying to invoke bash auto-completion for a previously typed word (for example by pressing "h" and then the tabulator key to obtain the previously entered word "hallo") in a command line terminal, such as Konsole or xterm, does not yield any response. Pressing any key (e.g. the letter "s") and then the tabulator key three times, however, outputs a list of commands starting with that letter. The script file bash.bashrc contains a subsection dedicated to invoking bash-completion, however it points to the file etc/bash_completion which is missing. Instead the there is a folder etc/bash_completion.d which has several *.sh-files (such as "dbus-bash-completion.sh" in it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Konsole 2. Type word, such as "hallo" 3. Press "h" and then tab key --> nothing happens -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
