https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=215971 andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de ------- Comment #1 from andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de 2006-10-27 15:28 MST ------- Why is the gcc meta package noarch at all? This causes constantly unresolved dependencies on all non-biarch platforms. Maybe you can work around this by removing the unnecessary subpackages from the CDs, but as soon as the FTP inst-source is added, the unresolved dependencies are back again (because gcc-{32,64}bit is noarch and depends on packages that don't exist at all on some architectures, which is ugly). IMHO gcc should not be noarch, and the unneeded packages should not be built at all for architectures where they don't make any sense instead of just removing them from the CDs. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
