http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=508548 Summary: HPLIP: A3, 11x17", 13x19" papersizes not available on HP CP1700 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: knan-novell@anduin.net QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042700 SUSE/3.0.10-1.1.1 Firefox/3.0.10 Papersizes larger than A4/legal is not available with the default ppd files in opensuse 11.1 for my father's "hp color inkjet printer cp1700". This is a regression from SUSE 9.2, when nothing special needed to be done for A3/11x17"/13x19" support. (A3 is the size I'm interested in, but the printer supports up to 330x483mm alias 13x19") Removing the two applicable ppd files from /usr/share/cups/model/manufacturer-PPDs/hplip/ - namely hp-color_inkjet_cp1700-hpijs.ppd and hp-color_inkjet_printer_cp1700-hpijs.ppd , dropping in the ppd file attached at https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/290559 and recreating the print queue fixes the problem for A3, printing an A3 document from OpenOffice works as well as before the upgrade from SUSE 9.2. It's a pretty outdated ppd for an earlier hplip version, but it works. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add hp color inkjet cp1700 printer via yast. 2.Open the printer settings dialog. 3.Look at available paper sizes. Actual Results: A4 biggest available paper size. Expected Results: A3 and other paper sizes available. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
