This has been seen on a completely new Gnome based installation of 11.3 on x86-64: After first login I connected to my WiFi network using nm-applet. Doing this I ended up that nm-applet/keyring stuff created a new keyring called "vorgabe" with the credentials for nm-applet. wolfgang@ox:~/.gnome2/keyrings> ll insgesamt 8 -rw-r--r-- 1 wolfgang users 7 16. Aug 15:37 default -rw------- 1 wolfgang users 1891 23. Aug 06:51 vorgabe.keyring wolfgang@ox:~/.gnome2/keyrings> cat default vorgabe I had expected that the nm-applet password would end up in a keyring called 'login' which is unlocked when logging in to Gnome from GDM but apparently that's broken. Not sure if the following behaviour is connected but it's even more annoying in addition: nm-applet's tray icon is not visible after login to Gnome until I 'rcnetwork restart'. After that it tries to connect and asks me for the passphrase of the 'vorgabe' keyring and it succeeds in connect to the Wifi network. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
