Follow http://en.opensuse.org/Alsa-update do an alsa driver update, I use the one for pae kernel 2. Then I want to check its version so I opened yast, it tells me something about update(can't remember), what I see is the alsa related things I just updated, but I believe I should have updated them. There are conflicts, I chose one option(forgot which) and it tells me some package will be changed vendor. 3. Up to now the problem is still there, I rebooted machine and the problem gone. here are some outputs: rpm -qa | grep alsa alsa-tools-1.0.16.91.git20080610-1.1 alsa-driver-unstable-kmp-pae-1.0.16.20080617_2.6.25.5_1.1-7.2 java-1_6_0-sun-alsa-1.6.0.u6-8.1 alsa-driver-kmp-pae-1.0.16.20080619_2.6.25.5_1.1-1.1 alsa-firmware-1.0.16.92.git20080617-1.1 alsa-1.0.16.92.git20080617-1.1 alsa-plugins-1.0.16-57.1 alsa-oss-1.0.15-48.1 alsa-utils-1.0.16.92.git20080617-1.1 rpm -qa | grep pulse gives me nothing rpm -q libasound2 libasound2-1.0.16.92.git20080617-1.1 uname -a Linux hzxu-laptop 2.6.25.5-1.1-pae #1 SMP 2008-06-07 01:55:22 +0200 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux cat /etc/modprobe.d/sound options snd slots=snd-hda-intel # u1Nb.eDzRsFk6La7:82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel What I conclude is that follow that link, perform an update solves my problem! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
