https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216053 Summary: rkhunter is not updated + openSUSE 10.2 is not (yet) supported. Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Security AssignedTo: security-team@suse.de ReportedBy: balazs.melikant@univie.ac.at QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: balazs.melikant@univie.ac.at Please note, that after the update a prev. modified os.dat would have to be patched again, because the latest supported SUSE-release is 10.0 in the original version: halacska:/var/lib/rkhunter/db # rkhunter --update Running updater... Other (maybe better) possibility would be to contact the author and let him introduce at least 10.1 and 10.2 in his upstream config file... BTW openSUSE 10.0 is e.g. supported now, but has other identifier than in your os.dat version. I diffed the os.bak (orig. from 10.2b1) to the updated os.dat (orig. from rkhunter's author): halacska:/var/lib/rkhunter/db # diff -u os.bak os.dat --- os.bak 2006-10-28 09:50:38.000000000 +0200 +++ os.dat 2006-10-28 09:51:12.000000000 +0200 @@ -106,15 +109,11 @@ 182:Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 4 (Nahant Update 2):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: 183:CentOS release 4.2 (Final):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: 184:Slackware 10.2.0:/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin -185:SUSE LINUX 10.0 (X86-64):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -186:SUSE LINUX 10.0 (i586):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -187:SUSE LINUX 10.1 (X86-64):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -188:SUSE LINUX 10.1 (i586):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -189:SUSE LINUX 10.1 (PPC):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -190:SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 (x86_64):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -191:SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 (i586):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -192:SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (i586):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: -193:SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86_64):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: +185:SuSE Linux 9.3 (i386):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: +186:SuSE Linux 9.3 (i586):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: +187:SuSE Linux 9.3 (x86-64):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: +188:OpenSuSE 10.0 (i586):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: +189:CentOS release 3.6 (Final):/usr/bin/md5sum:/bin: 200:FreeBSD 5.0 (i386):/sbin/md5 -q:/usr/local/bin: 201:FreeBSD 4.7 (i386):/sbin/md5 -q:/usr/local/bin: 202:FreeBSD 5.1 (i386):/sbin/md5 -q:/usr/local/bin: -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
