If you see it appear again, in real hardware, reopen the bug report, vmware isnt something we can fix if there is a bug on it.
It is certainly not a bug in vmware player, it was a bug in systemd, and reproducible. Other people reproduced it. About your opinion on vmplayer, I'm sure your employer, and other of your coworkers, do not agree. They are interested in bugs showing in vmware guests when the guest is *SUSE. Which is different on bugs in vmware when the host is *SUSE. If you are interested, my laptop, which is not yet updated, does have the symptoms.
