https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=747968 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=747968#c6 --- Comment #6 from Felix Miata <mrmazda@earthlink.net> 2012-03-12 17:42:53 UTC --- Isn't the installation kernel nearly always different from the kernel that gets installed, at least using Factory? I made several installation attempts on two different i865 systems, with and without various video= (only works with KMS engaged) and vga= (only works with KMS disengaged) on cmdline. 1152x864 (gets me the VC lines and rows I prefer) just happens to be part of most/all of the installation start parameters I ever use, easier to remember to subtract from the Grub line than to add. The attached logs' y2start.log contains vga=0x318 but no video= on cmdline, but from a successful installation due to using nomodeset. So, check 'video=1152x864' how? It works as expected post-installation. I have no idea where to begin to collect logs from a so early frozen installation attempt. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
