It might be interesting to see what the kernel says in it's log (output of dmesg command) - please attach that here. Ultimately the solution is going to be to get newer xfsprogs anyway. There have been quite a few fixes to xfs_repair since the version present in 12.3. If you don't want to update the whole distro (although I'd suggest to do so to get security fixes etc.), you can just install xfsprogs from the development repository at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/filesystems/openSUSE_12.3/x86_64/.
