Hey guys, I am very happy that I got the promise of Nat that we can borrow the Eyetracker of the SUSE usability team for openSUSE activities and projects. That is really amazing. An eyetracker is a really expensive machine which records the eye movement of test persons when they work with software which is to examine. That technology gives an unique view on how people work with user interface of the test program by measuring where people look and how long. Please come up with ideas how we can make use of that, ie. upstream workshops where we analyse programs or collaboration with other usability groups. We now also need a little team of people who know how to work with the machine, such as an openSUSE Usability Group. Any volunteers? Sweet! The first three projects we had (one umbrella, factory.o.o, the docs in the wiki) could certainly benefit from some eye-tracking analyses; they are all visual stuff to some extent. Eye tracking analysis would be great for the Plasma sprint I am organising in February. Do you know if the eyetracker requires an expert operator to be more than just an expensive toy? Will I need to lure Sigi back in as a consultant? Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+help@opensuse.org
