So it looks like I've been bad at sending my week reports recently. Let's fix this all at once... Week 11: + went to Paris for Solutions Linux: - gave two talks (release management, GNOME 3 -- my build service talk didn't make it) - listened to a talk about Project Builder, and gave some Build Service perspective (I had already chatted about the person behind Project Builder a year and a half ago) - participated to the GNOME booth when I had time. We demoed GNOME Shell and got positive feedback about it -- more positive than what we expected :-) - played with KDE again, since we were with our KDE friends - chatted about openSUSE to various people, but we didn't have a booth (we couldn't request one since we didn't manage to get enough volunteers to man it all the time) - Novell had no booth either, and it was interesting to see many people coming to me asking why. Note that Red Hat didn't have one either, and Canonical had only a small one. - Microsoft had a booth, and I could play with Surface. It's interesting, while not as life-changing as I thought; I managed to make it crash :-) + caught up with Novell France people, and chatted about where Solutions Linux is going Week 12: + got my openvpn access (thanks Klaas!) + caught up with mails, packages, etc. (lots of GNOME Foundation stuff to catch up) + keep working in dropping the GNOME 1.x stack + played with the openFATE code some more, but was blocked because it doesn't run + review upstream patches + sent a first mail to get an openSUSE booth to the other main french event (RMLL in July) + got two RMLL talks accepted (GNOME 3 and contributing to openSUSE) Week 13: + this was the crazy GNOME 2.30.0 week (this kept me busy nearly all week) + released GNOME 2.30.0: - coordinated the release - last-minute review of patches - released my tarballs - released tarballs of other people (I ended up releasing 30 tarballs...) - tested - packaged it + fix security issue in transmission + push GNOME packages in Contrib to Factory + helped push the imobiledevice stack + packaged a few new packages Week 14: + review GNOME-related features + review GNOME bugs + dumped a list of GNOMEy applications we should package + participated in a Novell-internal meeting + investigated why the hermes messages for delete requests and change_devel requests didn't have any useful information, wrote a patch, and updated a hermes template + tried to fix my openfate issue, without success + requested deletion of glib 1.x and gtk 1.x! + GNOME release team meeting Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+help@opensuse.org

And I forgot what I'm going to do this week: I'm in Boston for the GSettings hackfest: http://live.gnome.org/Hackfests/GSettings2010 This will likely keep me a bit busy :-) Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+help@opensuse.org
