Hi, you should have noticed that we have next wednesday a small event "openSUSE celebrates XMas" which is public. We have three talks: 1. openSUSE 11.2 in Action - how eases 11.2 my daily computer live? This is a talk for beginners showing that 11.2 has many benefits for daily computer use, Keywords Desktop, Software Management, Internet, whatever. 2. Imaging with Free Software - showing gimp and other tricky stuff by the example of ancient city plans - held by Jürgen Weigert. 3. Jump in to openSUSE - how can I help the project, not only as a developer. As you realize there is not yet a name at talk 1. and 3., we need a presenter for each. So who is volunteering? Note that both talks should be around 30 minutes, preferably held in german, otherwise english. So jump up! Thanks, Klaas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+help@opensuse.org

We are still missing volunteers here. Please... Do you really want me to preach about "boosters on stage" ? Klaas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-boosters+help@opensuse.org

Still no volunteers who can speak German? If nobody else volunteers, I think I can came up with something for the first presentation - benefits of 11.2 (it is general why should I use Linux presentation, right?). But I can't speak German, so it would be in English. So it would be much better if somebody who can speak German will step up. -- Michal HRUSECKY SUSE LINUX, s.r.o openSUSE Boosters Team Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xFED656F6 19000 Praha 9 mhrusecky[at]suse.cz Czech Republic http://michal.hrusecky.net http://www.suse.cz

Same here, I could do something about the third one. I have nothing prepared at all, but that's pretty standard stuff :-) Is this 30 minutes with questions included? Meanwhile Coolo volunteered to make talk 1. which is "openSUSE 11.2 in Action", please applaud. Vincent and Will, would you mind to help coolo with preparation, ie. help him assemble the presentation? I assume you have some material already? WHO is finally up for talk 3. "Jump in to openSUSE" ? Vincent and Will, would you mind to help coolo with preparation, ie. help him assemble the presentation? I assume you have some material already? In my unworthy imagination I propose to cover more the simple stuff - new features and how do they help, like there is now a button which syncs something automatically and this helps you keeping your something up to date instead of the technical details which might be not that interesting for a non-geek. Best M
WHO is finally up for talk 3. "Jump in to openSUSE" ?
Thanks,
Klaas
