Hello Everyone, I am trying to install SUSE on a notebook system with a Vario40 connected to the serial port. After I start the installation, my braille ddisplay locks up. I cannot press any of the buttons on the display. I do not get any text on the display. It looks like my display is freezing during the hardware probe. Is there a way to force the screen reader to use a particular display on a particular port? I have tried this in both Baum mode and Handytech mode. In handytech mode, I get some garbage characters on the display. ===== Jason Fayre - Tech Support Engineer Customer Enabled Services Sun Microsystems, Inc. No, thats unfortunatly not possible at the moment. for a older distro I made a script that automaticly installs the system with autoYaST on the computer... All settings for the installation could be done by editing a configfile..., it was also possible to configure sbl. But this script will not work on newer distros and it's only in a pre beta state. If there is more interest in an automatic installation of SuSE linux without any need for a braille disply, I could try to make a newr script htat is more stable.

Hmm, the Handytech mode should work... Witch version of SuSe Linux are you using? Ciao, Schoeppi -- Christian Schöpplein <schoeppi@suse.de> SuSE-Blinux Support Tel.: 0 4 21 / 5 26 - 24 80 (Di. und Do. 15:00 - 20:00 Uhr) WWW: http://www.blinux.suse.de
